Trying Again

This is kind of like my journal writing from when I was young - a few entries here and there in the space of many moons. Oh well, you can only move forward.... and that is what I plan on doing.

I have been working here and there on different projects between being a wife, mother and cub scout den leader. I have recently started on a new project called Acorns to Oaks by Kathy Schmitz. This is my first foray into embroidery. I had to practice a bit on my first stitches to get the hang of it but it is coming along. I will post a picture when I am done with the first block.

I recently finished quilting and binding a quilt my SIL Christine put together. I love it! I used the Circle Lord baptist fan template - I think it came out great.

I have a quilt similar to this that I am doing in the Charlie Brown pattern by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. Someday I will get it done. I keep hoping that once school starts at the end of the month that I will have a little more time to work on my projects. We shall see. I have written a list of goals for September on my sidebar - yes, September - the month of August is just too busy with back to school stuff. The only thing I am working on currently is the embroidery during football practices.
